Volunteer Perspective

I've been tutoring a refugee from Bhutan this semester to help her with her psychology course at Pima Community College. She plans to get her nursing degree and return to Nepal when she is finished and work among the poor people to try to help make their lives better. I am very happy to help her work towards this worthwhile goal. She has no problems with understanding psychological concepts, but much of what she needs to do for this class (for example, write a Limerick!) would be nearly impossible for her to do alone because of not having grown up here and lacking a cultural context.
